Friends of the Animal Barn was established in September 2023 to support the animals and educational programs at MSU Tollgate Farm. We support enriching agricultural experiences that bring children, adults, and livestock together,  often missing from suburban communities.

With roots in 4-H, we have seen the profound impact of farm-based learning on local youth. For many city-dwelling children, the farm is a vital bridge between the grocery store and the natural world. Here, they gain a hands-on understanding of the dedication and knowledge required to raise poultry and livestock.

We are eager to champion the farm that supports our children and community. We believe that increased support will elevate 4-H opportunities and agricultural education programming for years to come.
